VNA Announces New Board Member Appointments
Three new members have recently been elected to boards at the VNA of Hudson Valley: Sue Kelly of Katonah and Maryrose Furci of Yorktown Heights have been appointed to the VNA & Hospice Care Foundation Board of Directors. Carla Herman of Bronxville was selected to serve on the Visiting Nurse Association of Hudson Valley Board.
Retired US Congresswoman Sue Kelly brings a background of health care advocacy, an in-depth knowledge of Westchester County and a desire to assist an organization she has supported for many years. “It is a pleasure to have an opportunity to serve a leading healthcare provider in the community. I have been familiar with the excellent quality and services of the VNA for a long time. It will be fulfilling to help them achieve their goals in service to our community,” stated Ms. Kelly.
Mary Rose Furci, an Executive Assistant at Westhab, Inc., is an active volunteer for many causes in Westchester and long time supporter of the VNA of Hudson Valley family. Along with her husband WHUD Midday DJ Tom Furci, she has attended numerous agency functions and has been a constant presence at our Tree of Life Ceremonies that benefit Hospice Care in Westchester & Putnam. Maryrose has an interest and experience in communications and fundraising which will serve the organization well.
The VNA of Hudson Valley appointed Carla Herman to its Board of Directors. Ms. Herman is the Vice President for Integrated Clinical Strategies at Westchester Medical Center. A nurse with a Master in Public Health and an MBS from Columbia University, Carla’s vast expertise in healthcare will be invaluable to the VNA organization.
“We are happy to have these very qualified individuals join our boards,” commented Nancy Borner, Chairperson of the VNA & Hospice Care Foundation of Hudson Valley. “They represent varied industries and interests while all sharing a desire to help the VNA of Hudson Valley, the largest and oldest family of home health care providers headquartered in Westchester County.”
